The role is to ensure that projects are completed on time, to the specified quality, whilst having commercial astuteness to ensure the projects perform as expected. This generally includes having strong leadership skills to lead onsite teams, our sub-contractors, and our off-site manufacturing partners to ensure maximum resource efficiency. Strong communication skills are required to liaise with clients, project stake holders, design teams, sub-contractors and employees to ensure key milestones are communicated and achieved.

Reports to Managing Director, Commercial Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Embrace and encourage the company culture of quality craftmanship, whilst always maintaining professional standards.
  • Liaison between our client and site management teams
  • Weekly site visits and attendance at client progress meeting
  • tracking progress and effectively communicating the programme with employees, sub-contractors, and clients
  • Create and maintain weekly progress reports for each project detailing on-site progress, design progress, procurement progress, sub-contractor performance and highlight any current issues or risks which may affect the performance of the project.
  • Assist in selection, qualification, and management of subcontract fabrication partners.
  • Frequently visit a subcontractor facility to review progress of project and quality of work.
  • Create and maintain subcontractor fabrication schedules, capacity forecasts, progress, and quality reports.
  • Liaison between client design team, our own design team and manufacturing partners to ensure seamless integration to site conditions.
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained through all projects.

Qualifications and training – essential

  • CSCS Card at Site Manager level
  • Valid SMSTS certificate or CSR Gold Card Supervisor
  • Valid First Aid at Work certificate

Qualifications and training – desirable

  • NVQ Level 3-4, BTEC diploma in Building Construction or similar
  • Qualified to the required CIOB Grade applicable at the time in accordance with Group policy.

Experience

  • Trade experience and site experience preferable
  • Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation.
